The Hong Kong Jiu-Jitsu Association (HKJJA), established in 2022, is dedicated to promoting Jiu-Jitsu in Hong Kong, China. As a member of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) since 2024, HKJJA is now authorized to send Hong Kong athletes to international competitions, aligning with JJIF's global standards that drive the sport's development across Asia—including its inclusion in the Asian Games by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
Hong Kong JiuJitsu Association (HKJJA) officially merged with the Hong Kong, China Wrestling Association (HKCWA) in order to advance the development of JiuJitsu & all associated styles ( Gi Grappling, NoGi Grappling & MMA)on the National & International levels. Mr. Thomas Fan as the current President of the HKJJA, will now assume the role of Chairperson for JiuJitsu and Associated Styles within the HKCWA structure.
To further our mission, we organize competitions, educational programs for practitioners and coaches, and continue striving to become a National Sports Association member of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.
What is JiuJitsu?
HKJJA considers the following grappling martial arts under the umbrella of JiuJitsu: Brazilian jiu jitsu, Japanese jujitsu, wrestling, combat grappling, and Mixed Martial Arts.

HKJJA Hong Kong Open (2026 Season)
The HKJJA Hong Kong Open is a Jiu-Jitsu competition organized by the Hong Kong Jiu-Jitsu Association. It is held regularly to provide both Hong Kong and international athletes with opportunities to test their progress, learn from fellow competitors, and enhance their skill levels in a fair and safe environment.
